Last night, right at dusk, another Newmar Bay Star towing a Jeep pulled into the campground and not long after that that couple and their dog walked over to visit with us. They recently moved to New Mexico from California and this was their first trip in their RV. They were very nice but the gentleman was a real talker! His wife and I visited for a short while and then she left and I came inside to leave John outside with the talker. He dominated the conversation for almost an hour! They are big time off-road Jeepers and love Moab, UT. In fact, one of the rock formations is named after him.
We left Dinosaur National Monument and headed east along Hwy. 40 towards Steamboat Springs this morning. The drive was along a very flat, straight road but was only about a two hour drive to the campground we had chosen that was supposedly on the Yampa River. We pulled in around noon, set up camp, ate lunch and then did absolutely nothing all afternoon. Because we had electricity, we turned on the A/C and napped and read. I think we really needed this rest. After supper we watched three of our favorite TV shows that we had downloaded off the internet.
