Its that time of the week to find a commercial campground so we can do some major grocery shopping, pick up a few things at Walgreens, K-Mart etc. and do the laundry. In other words, be civilized!
The restored Union Train Depot.
Neon & signs along the alley next to the restaurant.
It was only an hours drive to Pueblo but we hitched up anyway. Pueblo is the home of the Colorado State Fair and it is going on this week through the end of Labor Day weekend. We chose a KOA campground outside of town to avoid the crowds, but that leaves us with a bit of a drive to get to the shopping we needed and to the lovely River Walk on the Arkansas River that flows through town. We found a delightful bistro for supper and the fair is obviously affecting their business as there was only two other couples dining this evening. John had rack of lamb and I had salmon, both delicious. After dinner we stopped in a wine bar for an after dinner wine and they were empty too. Quiet night.
