Shopping the Markets

Back on the bikes and off to the Farmer’s Market in downtown Boise. They closed off 8th Street for four blocks and vendors lined both sides of the street. There were the typical booths of vegetables and fruits, coffee, honey, meat, cookies, pastries, and breads. There were foods booths with Asian food, Basque, African, Indian, Chinese, and Mexican. We could have bought artworks, pottery, jewelry and clothing. I love these markets! We stopped at a grocery on the way home to pick up other stuff not found at the market.

All that shopping made us hungry so we drove to Eagle to try some Bodacious Pig BBQ. Stuffed ourselves with pulled pork, tri-tip beef and ribs! We also shopped at Eagle’s Farmer’s Market. Since we had a big and late lunch we chose to dine sensibly for dinner. The BodoVino wine bar has over 140 wines in dispensary machines to taste or drink. So along with numerous wines we tried we also tried a cheese sampler and ate a monster meatball. It was a very fun evening and we didn’t have to worry about flat tires as we drove the Jeep!
